On the first day of school in Texas, a 15-year-old boy was killed in a collision with a car when he was riding his bike to school.
The McKinney Police Department stated in a Facebook post that Landon Bork, on Wednesday, was heading to class and crossing an intersection in the Dallas suburb of McKinney when around 5:30 in the morning, a driver struck him.
The vehicle reportedly stopped and made an effort to assist Landon, but his wounds were serious, according to the authorities.
According to the police, “Our hearts go out to everyone involved in this tragedy.”
A spokesperson for Frisco Independent School District told USA Today that Landon was a sophomore at Heritage High School.
In a statement from the school district, it was expressed, “Landon was a beloved member of the Heritage campus community.The Coyote family will feel the loss, and we have the Bork family and loved ones in our thoughts.
